The Chair of Thermal Turbomachinery and Aero Engines has a broad infrastructure in the experimental as well as in the numerical area, which is continuously expanded and maintained.
For this purpose, numerous radial and axial compressors and turbines are available in the institute's own test facility, which are measured using modern time-resolved measurement methods such as HWA and PIV.
On the numerical side, the chair has a powerful High-Performance Cluster (HPC), which is equipped with over 1000 CPU cores of the latest generation and thus enables the calculation of the most complex numerical models.
